Music Ideas

Mrs Martin has sent a letter to the members of the choir regarding a virtual choir.... you can use this clip to help you; if you choose to contribute! Good luck!

Young Voices at Home are having a special online broadcast of the song 'Power in Me,' on Tuesday 2nd June at 2.30pm. To take part you have to go to the website to sign up and register. It will direct you to the resources that you need to learn the song. Be part of the world’s largest children’s choir at home. There is one on Thursday 21st May at 4pm where Andy Instone, who choreographs the movements, will be taking it. He is very entertaining if you haven’t seen him before. You can also take part in the #PowerinMe singing Challenge and film yourself singing. Please follow the link below.

I have recorded the song 'We'll meet again' as this will help you to learn it. The lyrics can be found on the music activities for this week. You might also like to join in singing this song at the concert at the Royal Albert Hall.

Meet Again for VE Day 75 with Katherine Jenkins

Friday 8 May  | 18:00 BST

This Friday join millions of people worldwide as Katherine Jenkins OBE performs a half-hour concert to an empty auditorium to be streamed to audiences for free to mark the 75th anniversary of VE Day.

Katherine will sing wartime favourites including the timeless We’ll Meet Again, a song which brought people hope and a sense of togetherness in the past. Today once again, its lyrics ring true for families around the world separated from loved ones at this time of crisis.

Thank you,
Mrs Martin
